Innovative Psychotherapy Solutions

Innovative Psychotherapy Solutions was created as a way to address the behavioral health needs of children and adolescents outside of the traditional counseling session.  Often times, youth present for psychotherapy needing more than what a traditional counseling session can provide; yet, this is typically the only option.  Instead of limiting the therapeutic experience to a strange office for 45-minutes every-other week, the counselors at Innovative Psychotherapy Solutions become integrated into the daily lives of their clients – providing multiple, two-hour long psychotherapy and mentorship sessions per week both in-home and in the community.

Our Mission

Michael “Dr. Mike” Mihajlovic is a licensed clinical psychologist, who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, and their families. With almost 15 years of behavioral health experience, Dr. Mike has worked with youth in a variety of settings; he has treated clients in the traditional, outpatient psychotherapy practice setting (in both private practice and in medical centers), as well as those requiring more intensive treatment in psychiatric hospitals and residential centers.  In addition to feeling comfortable with treating those disorders that are typically diagnosed during childhood (e.g., Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, depression, anxiety, and early onset personality disorders), Dr. Mike has worked to direct his clinical focus to the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders (e.g., Asperger’s Disorder).

As the clinical director of Innovative Psychotherapy Solutions, Dr. Mike is involved with every client and his or her family; he conducts the initial diagnostic interview, develops the customized treatment plan, and directs ongoing treatment through supervision with the counseling staff and revisions of the treatment plan.
